Azioni biochim/fisiol

ZNF512B (Zinc finger protein 512B) is a transcription factor. It plays a major role in the protection and survival of neurons. It positively regulates TGF-β signal transduction pathway (Transforming growth factor-β). ZNF512B acts as a prognostic factor in a neurodegenerative disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It has been reported that knockdown expression of ZNF512B increases susceptibility to ALS.
