  1. Can this medium be combined with agar to make a solid medium?

    1 answer
    1. While not tested as such, a gelling agent may be added to this solution to form a solid medium. As this is a prepared solution, the agar would be added directly to the medium.

  2. Is this suitable for freshwater diatom culture?

    1. This product is tested for culture using green algae that are not specifically designated as diatomaceous. This application may need to be validated by the end user. The formulation is prepared according to the the reference below:
