General description
Al di là della loro specificità strutturale, le saponine svolgono un compito fondamentale nei processi biochimici, agendo come metaboliti secondari e facilitando la penetrazione delle proteine attraverso le membrane cellulari. Inoltre, le saponine vengono impiegate come componenti di grande interesse nella ricerca sui vaccini, in funzione di adiuvanti in grado di attivare il sistema immunitario dei mammiferi. Questa loro proprietà, combinata con la capacità di solubilizzare le lipoproteine a bassa densità e di regolare la concentrazione del colesterolo nelle micelle, rende le saponine versatili e utili in settori di ricerca multidisciplinari come la ricerca biochimica o in biologia cellulare.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. This product is saponin from quillaya bark. This triterpene saponine consists of Quillaicacid (structure kindly find enclosed below) combined with saccharide chains. Hydrolysis yields Quillaic acid, glacturonic acid, glucuronic acid and galactose (from Roempp's Chemical Encyclopedia).
