Rifamycin Sodium is a simplest rifamycin obtained via the elimination of glycolic moity from rifamycin B. It belongs to the ansamicin group of antibiotics. Rifamycin sodium is widely used in surgery and for the treatment of synovitis by intracellular injections.

Applicazioni

Rifamycin Sodium may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using manual and semiautomatic kinetic method.
