Applicazioni

Brilliant Blue R concentrate is a methanol based stain especially designed for staining protein in polyacrylamide but will also stain agarose gels. The stain contains methanol and acetic acid so gels do not require fixing prior to staining.
Brilliant Blue R Concentrate has been used for protein band detection after nondenaturing gradient gel electrophoresis, isoelectric focussing and SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis).[1][2][3]
For detection of protein bands following electrophoresis.

Ricostituzione

After dilution with deionized water to a final volume of one liter, solution will contain 0.25% (w/v) Brilliant Blue R, 40% (v/v) methanol and 7% (v/v) acetic acid.

    1. the bottle for B8647 contains 465ml of concentrate. One option is to pour out the contents into a calibrated volumetric flask and add sufficient water to make it 1000 ml. Once reconstituted to 1 liter, the contents of the flask could then be returned to the bottle for B8647. However, this process may seem labor-intensive. Alternatively, most users will likely choose to add 535 ml of water to the 1 liter bottle of concentrate and mix well.
