Descrizione generale
Indicator papers are prepared by either direct dyes or reactive dyes. During reactive dyes procedure, pure linters are suspended in water and reactive dye is added. The mixture is made alkaline for the reaction to start. The fiber pulp is centrifuges, washed to be electrolyte-free and processed as pH paper. Paper produced in this way is bonded to plastic material in order to be used as stick or strip. Some strips are produced by impregnation which bleed, certain portion of the indicator dye dissolves in the test solution during immersion. pH strips with covalently bonded indicator dyes remain indefinitely in solution without migration or dissolution.
Applicazioni
pH indicator strip may be used during the synthesis of modified nucleotides for site-directed DNA photoaffinity labelling of RNA polymerase III transcription complexes.
Caratteristiche e vantaggi
Each strip has an identification scale and printed pH scale. The strips can be utilized in colored solutions and suspensions with very high precision.
Confezionamento
