General description

I filtri EZ-Pak sono realizzati in esteri misti di cellulosa (MCE) con pori da 0,45 μm; sono verdi, quadrettati con diametro di 47 mm. Forniscono elevati recuperi e sono adatti soprattutto per le comuni analisi microbiologiche. Le membrane EZ-Pak e il relativo erogatore rappresentano una rivoluzione nella manipolazione dei filtri nelle analisi che utilizzano il metodo della filtrazione su membrana (MF), perché combinano i vantaggi delle membrane pronte all'uso, sterili e confezionate singolarmente con una facilità d′impiego unica.

Application

Questi filtri trovano applicazione in ambito clinico, cosmetico, ambientale e nell′industria dei cibi e delle bevande, oltre che nel controllo di qualità (CQ) su scala industriale. Analisi microbiologiche di birra, acqua in bottiglia, sidro, sport drink e vino con il metodo della filtrazione su membrana. Questi filtri sono usati diffusamente per recuperare lieviti e muffe dai campioni.

  1. Do these filters maintain form and function if subjected to autoclave decontamination? I'm aware they are sterile but we'd like to place the filters in a housing, then autoclave ahead of process gas testing.

    1. The EZHAGG474 filters can't be autoclaved.
      Based on the product specifications, EZHAGG474 filters (EZ-Pak® Membrane Filters, 0.45 µm, 47 mm, green gridded) are designed as sterile, ready-to-use products, typically sterilized by methods such as ethylene oxide rather than autoclaving.
      Key details regarding EZHAGG474 filters and sterilization: Material: Mixed Cellulose Esters (MCE). Sterility: They are provided as "sterile, ready-to-use".
      Autoclave Suitability: While MCE membranes are generally not recommended for autoclaving (as they can lose integrity or deform), these specific filters are designed to be removed from their sterile packaging using an EZ-Pak dispenser and used immediately.
      Alternative: If a sterilizable filter is needed for repeated use, PTFE or PES membranes in polypropylene housings are generally recommended instead.
