N-20:4 L-Serine (ARA-S), a unique lipoamino acid is endogenous in nature. It is localized to the brain.[1] It has structural resemblance with anandamide, an endocannabinoid.[2]

Azioni biochim/fisiol

N-20:4 L-Serine (ARA-S) is a signaling lipid[3] that regulates neuronal-type Ca2+ channels in the brain.[1] ARA-S is known to produce endothelium-dependent arterial vasodilatation in vitro. It is also found to exert neuroprotective action following brain injury.[2]
