Description générale
Le polisseur EDS-Pak® est une cartouche à base de charbon actif qui élimine efficacement les contaminants organiques tels que les phtalates, le bisphénol A et le nonylphénol. Il est validé pour produire 300 l d'eau exempte de perturbateurs endocriniens à partir d'eau ultra pure provenant d'un système Milli-Q®.
L'eau ultra pure traitée par le polisseur EDS-Pak® convient à la préparation de tampons, de blancs et d'étalons pour la quantification des perturbateurs endocriniens.

Application
Le polisseur EDS-Pak® permet de produire de l'eau exempte de perturbateurs endocriniens (PE) au point de distribution des systèmes des gammes Milli-Q® IQ et EQ 7. Il élimine efficacement les traces de contaminants PE de l'eau ultra pure, pour une utilisation dans des applications de laboratoire telles que la préparation d'échantillons, de solutions étalons ou de solutions de travail pour l'évaluation de la toxicité environnementale des bisphénols[1], l'analyse des perturbateurs endocriniens dans l'eau, l'analyse de composés pharmaceutiques et de leurs produits de dégradation dans les eaux usées[2], le contrôle des alcaloïdes dans les produits nutraceutiques[3] et l'analyse de l'acide alpha-lipoïque dans les échantillons biologiques par des techniques chromatographiques.

If I have a final filter that I use only occasionally (e.g., Biopak®) and have another filter (e.g. Millipak®) that I most of the time, can I keep the 'occasional-use' filter for use again at a later time?

It is not possible to re-use a filter that has been used and then removed because air intake during replacement creates an airlock and blocks water passing through the filter. If you regularly need two different filters, we recommend using two POD dispensers.

How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.
