Beschreibung

Application

DBF wird durch Cytochrom P450 (insbesondere CYP2C8, CYP2C9, CYP2C19 und CYP3A) unter Bildung eines Fluorescein-Esters dealkyliert. Das fluoreszierende Fluorescein Produkt kann nach Zugabe von Base quantifiziert werden. Die Base hydrolysiert den Ester und erhöht den pH-Wert für optimale Fluoreszenz-Detektion von Fluorescein.

DBF is dealkylated by cytochromes P450 (especially CYP2C8, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, and CYP3A) to form a fluorescein ester. Dibenzylfluorescein was reported to be suitable for in vitro assessment of the initial screening of CYP3A4-
mediated drug interactions. The fluorescent fluorescein product can be quantitated after the addition of base, which hydrolyzes the ester and increases the pH for optimal fluorescein fluorescence detection.

Other Notes

Dibenzylfluorescein is light sensitive and should be protected from direct sunlight or UV sources.
