Biochem/physiol Actions
Alanyl-Glutamin (Ala-Gln) ist ein Dipeptid, das als Ersatz für Glutamin in Säugetierzellkulturmedien verwendet wird, da Glutamin in Lösung instabil ist und als Abbauprodukt Ammoniak bildet, der schädliche Auswirkungen auf die Zellen in der Kultur haben kann. Ala-Glu ist unter Hitzesterilisationsbedingungen stabil und weniger ammoniagen als Glutamin, was zu seinen vorteilhaften Eigenschaften als Mediumkomponente beiträgt. Ala-Gln wurde für die Untersuchung der Aktivität von polymorphonuklearen Leukozyten und Myeloperoxidase in vitro verwendet.[1]
Analysis Note
Dieses Produkt wurde in Zellkulturen (0,5 mg/ml) und in Insektenzellkulturen getestet (0,2 mg/ml). Es ist für die Verwendung in Zellkultur- und Insektenzellkultur-Anwendungen bei 2-10 mM geeignet.
