General description
Hühnereialbumin (Ovalbumin) ist der primäre Proteinbestandteil von Eiklar. Hühnereialbumin ist ein phosphoryliertes Glycoprotein. In der Aminosäuresequenz besteht der Peptidanteil von Ovalbumin aus 385 Resten und hat ein Molekulargewicht von 42,7 kDa.[1]
Application
Ein phosphoryliertes Glycoprotein, das sich als Marker (~ 45 kDa) für Protein-Elektrophorese eignet. Wurde genutzt, um ein Tiermodell für Asthma zu entwickeln.
Ovalbumin ist ein nützlicher Marker (∼45 kDa) für die Proteinelektrophorese. Ovalbumin wird zur Erzeugung eines Tiermodells von Asthma eingesetzt. Ovalbumin wird im EliCell-Assay als Medium für die Zellinkubation zum Nachweis freigesetzter Zytokine aus Eosinophilen verwendet.[2]
Ovalbumin wird in Antikörper-Assays zur Untersuchung der Auswirkungen der Lokalisierung auf DNA-Immunisierungen verwendet.[3]
Ovalbumin wird als Induktionsmittel in Modellstudien atopischer Dermatitis verwendet.

Biochem/physiol Actions
Der dynamischen Differenzkalorimetrie zufolge denaturiert Hühnereialbumin bei 84 °C.[4] Ovalbumin kann als Trägerprotein für die Konjugation an synthetische Peptide zur Verwendung als Immunogen eingesetzt werden.
