General description

Diese Certified Spiking Solution® eignet sich für GC/MS- und LC/MS-Anwendungen, von klinischen und diagnostischen Tests über die Endokrinologie bis hin zu Tests im Sport.

5α-Dihydrotestosteron (DHT) ist ein Steroidhormon und Metabolit des natürlich vorkommenden Androgens Testosteron, das durch die Wirkung des NADPH-abhängen Enzyms 5α-Reduktase gebildet wird. Es ist an einer Reihe von Erkrankungen von männlichem Haarausfall über benigne Prostatahyperplasie bis hin zu Prostatakarzinom beteiligt. Als anaboles Steroid wird DHT auch als leistungssteigerndes Mittel verwendet, um das Muskelwachstum zu fördern.

Application

Das zertifizierte Referenzmaterial (ZRM) in Lösung kann auch wie folgt verwendet werden:
  • Gleichzeitige Analyse von Testosteron und 5α-Dihydrotestosteron mit einem Gaschromatografie-Massenspektrometrie-Tischgerät (GC-MS) in Humanserumproben
  • Flüssigchromatografie-Elektrospray-Ionisation-Tandem-Massenspektrometrie(LC/ESI-MS/MS)-Bestimmung von Testosteron und 5α-Dihydrotestosteron nach ihrer protonaffinitiven Derivatisierung mit Picolinsäure und ihren Analoga
  • Bestimmung von Testosteron und 5α-Dihydrotestosteron in Plasma- und Hodenproben von Amerikanische Dickkopfelritze mittels Gaschromatografie-Tandem-Massenspektrometrie (GC-MS/MS)
  • Multirückstandsanalyse von Epitestosteron, Testosteron, 5α-Dihydrotestosteron, Dehydroepiandrosteron, Androsteron und Etiocholanolon in Urinproben mittels hochauflösender Full-Scan-Elektrospray-Ionisation-Flüssigchromatografie (HR-FS-ESI-LC) in Kombination mit einem Quadrupol-Orbitrap-Massenspektrometer (Q/Orbitrap-MS) gemäß den Anforderungen der Welt-Anti-Doping-Agentur (WADA)
  • Quantitative Analyse von neun Hydroxy-Androgenen und deren Konjugaten durch ein Verfahren auf der Grundlage von stabile Isotopenverdünnung-Flüssigchromatografie-Elektrospray-Ionisation-Tandem-Massenspektrometrie (SID-LC-ESI-MS/MS) nach ihrer Derivatisierung mit Picolinsäure

  1. hi, am I right in thinking that D-073 arrives in 1mL vials and they are to be stored long term at -70C. We only have -80C freezers, do you see that as a problem?

    1. This product may be stored at a range of -60°C to -80C°C.

  2. If I dissolve the DHT-Lösung in ethanol, what storage temperature is recommended for the working stock?

    1. This product is a Dihydrotestosterone 1.0 mg/mL in methanol. This material may be stored at -60°C to -80C°C at the original concentration. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Upon receipt, the solution may be thawed and dispensed in working aliquots prior to refreezing. The stability of the solution when diluted further has not been investigated.

  3. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  4. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     1. DHT exhibits cross-reactivity between humans and mice, but biological effects and responses may differ due to species-specific differences. This product is an analytical standard and is not intended for animal studies.

  6. Is this suitable for cell culture?

    1. This product is prepared in methanol, which would be toxic to cells. Currently, there is no cell culture tested product option available. However, product A8380, the powder form, has been used successfully in cell culture applications. Please see the link below to review this product. Note the Peer Reviewed Papers section lists a number of applicable publications.
