As integrated and continuous manufacturing is increasingly prevalent, the implementation of connected operations for the biopharmaceutical industry is still a challenge. In this work, we executed a continuous mAb production process, operating a perfusion bioreactor integrated with continuous downstream technologies for three days of operation and a digital infrastructure allowing collaboration and data sharing. The system provides benefits such as increased productivity, reduced risk of errors, improved data management, alarm management, and operations. Ultimately, we highlight how digital transformation allows us to remain competitive and deliver cutting-edge products in the industry.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- The key factors for successful development of integrated continuous biomanufacturing operations
- The challenges of implementing continuous processing at the bench scale
- The importance of embracing digital transformations and the benefits of improved data management
