Application

This stable-labeled Certified Spiking Solution^® is suitable for quantifying a-tocopherol in a variety of applications from diagnostic testing of Vitamin E deficiency to quality control testing of tocopherol-based dietary supplements or pharmaceutical preparations.

The certified reference material (CRM) in solution can also be used as an internal standard as follows:

• High-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) based combined analysis of retinol, α‐tocopherol, 25‐hydroxyvitamin D₂, and 25‐hydroxyvitamin in plasma samples of cardiovascular patients
• Simultaneous determination of 25-hydroxyvitamin-D₂ (25-OHD₂), 25-hydroxyvitamin-D₃ (25-OHD₃), and its 3-epimer (epi-25-OHD₃), retinol, and α-tocopherol in human serum samples by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
• Development of two ultra and high-performance liquid chromatographic methods, one coupled with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and tandem mass spectrometric detector (UHPLC-APCI-MS/MS) and the other one with diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) to estimate fat-soluble vitamins A, D₃ and E in rice cereal-based baby food samples
• Multi-residue analysis of fat-soluble vitamins (FSVs)― retinol, 25(OH)D₂, 25(OH)D₃, epi-25(OH)D₃. and α-tocopherol in plasma and amniotic fluid samples by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) following a single pre-treatment step
