Metaraminol (+)-bitartrate salt has been used to study the effects of adrenergic agonists in the mouse model of endometriosis.[1]

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

α-adrenoceptor agonist.
Metaraminol may serve as a false sympathetic transmitter.[2] It is a mixed α - and β-adrenergic agonist.[3]
