Application

Anti-PCOLCE2 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

PCOLCE2 (Procollagen C-endopeptidase enhancer 2) gene encodes a glycoprotein that is also called as procollagen COOH-terminal proteinase enhancer (PCPE2). It binds the C-terminal propeptide of type I procollagen and facilitates its cleavage by certain proteinases. PCPE2 differs from PCPE1 in its glycosylation nature and its stronger affinity for heparin. The gene is mapped to human chromosome 3.
