Hoagland′s No. 2 Basal Salt Mixture has been used:
  • in the preparation of Hoagland′s solution for treating root tips
  • to grow maize (Zea mays L.) seeds
  • to grow rice seedlings and to treat M. sinensis (cv. Kosung) seedlings hydroponically
