Description générale

GranuCult®plus Oxytetracyclin-Glucose-Yeast Extract Agar Base is used to isolate and enumerate yeasts and molds in foods. The base medium allows good growth of yeasts and molds. Oxytetracycline inhibits the growth of bacteria. The addition of an OGYE selective supplement (1.09877) to the base medium increases the recovery/count of yeast and molds. Yeast extract provides essential growth nutrients. Dextrose acts as a carbon and energy source. Low pH helps to reduce the bacterial flora.

Application

GranuCult® plus Oxytetracyclin-Glucose-Yeast Extract Agar Base is suitable for the selective isolation and enumeration of yeasts and molds in foods.
