Description générale

16:0 PEG350 PE is a polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugated phospholipid. It is a biopolymer with a molecular weight of 1075.4 Da.[1]

Application

16:0 PEG350 PE is suitable for use in the preparation of Pdots and to differentiate based on shell′s composition.[2] It might also be used in membrane preparation to study water dynamics.[1]

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugated phospholipids are useful in liposome formulation[3] and are used as drug carriers.[4] PEGylated lipids maintain the stereochemistry of liposomes. The formation of mixed micelles is supported by the use of highly concentrated PEG-lipids.[5]
