- A Pt precursor in the preparation of PVP-protected Pt-nanoparticles by seed-mediated growth method.[6]

This product is prepared by adding 4 grams of Chloroplatic acid to 46 mL of water to yield an 8 % (by wt) chloroplatic acid solution. This solution is approximately 4 % Platinum after reduction with magnesium.
