Dr. Cindy Ly is a scientist in the Cell Biology Research and Development team at Merck with over 8 years of experience in cell culture. Her primary focus is on innovating new tools and technologies in cell biology for the scientific market, ultimately to help the scientific community advance in their research. In 2022, Cindy obtained her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Kansas studying host-virus interactions of herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). Her research focused on understanding how HSV-1 exploits the host cell for replication and develop a drug screening method to identify potential new drugs against HSV-1.
