2,3,5-Trichlorophenol belongs to the class of substituted phenol compounds. They are widely used in industrial applications such as synthesis of pesticides, dyes, drugs, plastics, etc. They are found in the environment as pollutant due to their extensive usage.[1]

Application

2,3,5-Trichlorophenol may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in landfill leachates,[2] aqueous samples,[1][3][4][5] and environmental samples[6] by various chromatographic techniques.
