Protein spindly, otherwise known as the coiled-coil domain-containing protein 99 (CCDC99), is a phosphoprotein that regulates mitosis. It interacts with the Rod/ZW10/Zwilch complex, and is involved in recruiting, docking, and alignment of motor protein dynein at mitotic kinetochores. Spindly may also be involved in checkpoint signaling and microtubule attachment.
