Binds human IgE; does not bind human IgG, IgA or IgM.
IgEs are glycoprotein antibodies that regulate immunological responses to allergies and infections. These immunoglobulins have been implicated in mediating Type I hypersensitivity reactions. Elevated IgE levels have been associated with hyper IgE syndrome and allergic asthma.
Monoclonal Anti-Human IgE (mouse IgG2b isotype) is derived from the GE-1 hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse.

Chironomids are widely and abundantly distributed in the vicinity of standing waters. Larvae of Chironomus and some other genera are known to contain hemoglobins, which have been described as a major allergen, and the adults that have no hemoglobins also
Helminth infections and allergy have evolutionary and clinical links. Infection with the nematode Ascaris lumbricoides induces IgE against several molecules including invertebrate pan-allergens. These antibodies influence the pathogenesis and diagnosis of allergy; therefore, studying parasitic and non-parasitic allergens is essential

Small amounts of protein can be found in honey, including well known allergen sources, such as plant pollen and honeybee secretions. Despite this, there are few case reports describing allergic reactions following the consumption of honey. The aim of this

Several foods associated with the latex-fruit syndrome present relevant allergens of around 30 kd. Neither these components nor any other responsible for the reported cross-reactions have been identified and purified. We sought to isolate and characterize the 30 kd allergens
