Application

18:1-12:0 Biotin PE has been used:
  • as a ligand in phosphoethanolamine binding assay[1]
  • in the generation of vesicle reconstituted with syntaxin-1A and Synaptosomal nerve-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25) vesicles[2]
  • in the preparation of biotinylated liposomes[3]

Biochem/physiol Actions

1-oleoyl-2-(12-biotinyl(aminododecanoyl))-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, biotin PE is majorly used in the generation of lipid vesicle in supported lipid bilayer.[4] It is also used in generation of phospholipid vesicle.[5]

Protein-glycan recognition is often mediated by multivalent binding. These multivalent bindings can be further complicated by cooperative interactions between glycans and individual glycan binding subunits. Here we have demonstrated a nanocube-based lipid bilayer array capable of quantitatively elucidating binding dissociation
