General description

Sesamöl kann für die Herstellung von Biodiesel verwendet werden und als tragfähige Alternative zu Dieselkraftstoff dienen.[1] Es wirkt aufgrund der neurprotektiven Wirkung im Hippocampus von Rattengehirnen bei fokaler zerebraler Ischämie als Antioxidans, wenn es als Nahrungsergänzungsmittel verabreicht wird.[2] Die Verabreichung von Sesamöl hat eine positive Wirkung auf den Blutzuckerspiegel, das glykosylierte Hämoglobin, die Lipidperoxidation und den Antioxidantienspiegel von diabetischen Ratten.[3]

Application

Sesamöl ist für folgende Anwendungen geeignet:
  • zum Auflösen von freiem Testosteron[4]
  • zum Herstellen von i. p. Tamoxifen-Injektionen[5]
  • zum Auflösen von aromatisierbarem androgenem Testosteron und nicht aromatisierbarem Androgenem 5α-Dihydrotestosteron[6]
  • als Trägerstoff für Estradiolbenzoat-Injektionen[7]
  • zum Auflösen von Progesteron und Östradiol-17β[8]
  • zum Auflösen von in semisynthetischer Form vorliegender Acetyl-11-keto-β-Boswelliasäure[9]
Wird in Forschungsanwendungen als Trägerstoff für fettlösliche Verbindungen (einschließlich Steroidhormone und Giftstoffe) verwendet. Sesamöl hat antioxidative Eigenschaften in Tiermodellen wurde nachgewiesen, dass es vor dem durch Lipopolysaccharid (LPS) stimulierten oxidativen Stress schützt.

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.     1. This product is used in research applications as a delivery vehicle for fat-soluble compounds including steroidal hormones and toxins. That said, it is not QC tested in an injectable format on animals or humans (though many researchers do use research-grade products with animals) so its use in that manner cannot be guaranteed. The literature articles on the product page do not mention its use in slow-release galenic products, so this is something the end user would need to determine.
