Poloxamer 188 (P188) ist ein nichtionisches amphiphiles Copolymer. Es umfasst eine zentrale Kette aus hydrophobem Polyoxypropylen, das an den Enden von hydrophilem Polyoxyethylen flankiert ist.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions
Poloxamer 188 (P188) ruft hämorheologische, antithrombotische, entzündungshemmende und zytoprotektive Wirkungen hervor. Es stellt die Membranbarrierefunktion wieder her und stabilisiert diese. P188 hemmt außerdem die Lipidperoxidation und reduziert die Oberflächenspannung und die Zelladhäsion auf hydrophober Basis.[1][2] P188 weist eine geringe Toxizität auf und kann bei der oralen Arzneimittelabgabe eingesetzt werden.
