Allgemeine Beschreibung

PM/SCL-100 (human exosome) is also known as RRP6, EXOSC10 (exosome component 10). It is a heterogeneous autoantibody that is located on human chromosome 1p36. In mouse, EXOSC10 is located on XY body.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 231-245 of human PM/Scl-100 with an N-terminal added cysteine, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in both rat and mouse PM/Scl-100.

Anwendung

Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.
Immunofluorescence (1 paper)
Western Blotting (1 paper)

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

PM/SCL-100 (human exosome) participates in ribosome biogenesis, snoRNA (small nucleolar RNAs)processing, surveillance and degradation of nonfunctional transcripts. It is essential for the production of 40S subunit and to maintain global translation. EXOSC10 participates in mitotic cell division. In mouse, Exosc10 is required for spermatogonial proliferation and early embryogenesis.

Physikalische Form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, and 15 mM sodium azide.
