How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. If a given lot of Product No. M4939 has, say, a peptide content of 85% and purity of 99%, this means that 85% of the vial content is the peptide, the remaining being water and trifluoroacetate salts. Of the 85% that is the peptide, 99% is Myelin oligodendroctye glycoprotein peptide fragment (35-55).

What can I use to dissolve this peptide (Product No. M4939)?

Every lot is tested for solubility at a concentration of 1 mg/mL, using either 1% acetic acid or water, resulting in a clear, colorless solution. The peptide is also soluble in an aqueous buffer such as 0.01 M PBS, pH 7.4, but we do not know whether it is equally as soluble in these buffers as it is in dilute acetic acid or water.
