Bei Isopropanol handelt es sich um ein klares, farbloses und polares organisches Lösungsmittel, das häufig in Chemie- und Molekularbiologielaboren eingesetzt wird. Es löst viele verschiedene Chemikalien auf und verdunstet schnell. Dieses Produkt (2-Propanol) ist als molekularbiologisches Reagenz klassifiziert und ist für die Fällung von Nukleinsäuren geeignet.

Protokolle für den Einsatz von Isopropanol:

• DNA-Präzipitation aus Säugergewebe, Ethidiumbromidextraktion aus DNA-Proben und RNA-Isolierung aus Zellen und Gewebe.[1]
