Small Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium Kit

Application

Small Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium is a serum-free medium developed for the cultivation of epithelial cells from the distal respiratory system. The optimal adjustment of growth factors in this medium ensures excellent in vitro growth. The medium is optimized for primary human cells but can also be used for porcine small airway epithelial cells.Recommended for:Human Small Airway Epithelial Cells (HSAEpC)

Final supplement concentrations after addition to the basal medium:Bovine Pituitary Extract: 0.004 ml / mlEpidermal Growth Factor (recombinant human): 10 ng / mlInsulin (recombinant human): 5 µg / mlHydrocortisone: 0.5 µg / mlEpinephrine: 0.5 µg / mlTriiodo-L-thyronine: 6.7 ng / mlTransferrin (recombinant human): 10 µg / mlRetinoic Acid: 0.1 ng / mlBovine Serum Albumin-Fatty Acid Free (BSA-FAF): 2.5 mg/ml

Store the Basal Medium at 4 to 8°C in the dark and the SupplementMix or SupplementPack at -20°C immediately after arrival. Do not freeze the Basal Medium. If stored properly, the products are stable until the expiry date stated on the label. After adding the supplements to the Basal Medium, the shelf life of the complete medium is 6 weeks at 4 to 8°C. Do not freeze the complete medium. For use, pre-warm only an aliquot of the complete medium and keep the remaining medium refrigerated at 4 to 8°C.

All lots of PromoCell Small Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium are subjected to comprehensive quality control tests using primary human small airway epithelial cells. Each lot is checked for growth promoting activity, adherence rate, and typical morphology of the tested small airway epithelial cells. Approved in-house lots of media are used as a reference. In addition, all lots of media have been tested for the absence of microbial contaminants (fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma).
