Biochem/physiol Actions

Natriumdodecylsulfat (SDS)/Natriumlaurylsulfat ist ein anionisches Detergens, das biologische Membranen aufbrechen kann. Es kann die Aktivität der Ribonuklease (RNase) und der Desoxyribonuklease (DNase) blockieren. SDS ist eines der Hauptbestandteile verschiedener Reagenzien, die zur Aufreinigung von Nukleinsäuren eingesetzt werden. Es gilt außerdem als Permeabilitätsverstärker in oralen Formulierungen.
