Beschreibung

General description

Ponceau S ist das Natriumsalz eines Diazo-Farbstoffs. Es wird für die schnelle reversible Färbung von Proteinbanden auf Nitrocellulose- oder PVDF-Membranen (Western Blot) sowie zum Anfärben von Protein auf Zelluloseacetat-Membranen verwendet. Die Färbung kann mit Wasser ausgewaschen werden und unterstützt den nachfolgenden immunologischen Nachweis.
Die beiden folgenden Formulierungen werden häufig genutzt:
0,1 %Ponceau S (w/v) in 5 % Essigsäure
2 %Ponceau S (w/v) in 30 % TCA, 30 % Sulfosalicylsäure

Application

Ponceau S wird zur Membranfärbung eingesetzt (Western Blot).
