General description

Folate receptors (FRs) are membrane bound surface proteins involved in folic acid uptake. FRs are frequently overexpressed in a large number of solid tumors including cancers of the ovary, breast and lung. FRs are attractive candidates for cancer imaging and targeted therapies.BioTracker NIR Folate Receptor Live Cell Dye is a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe for the detection of folate receptors in vivo. This probe exhibits very low background fluorescence and high tumor-to-background ratio in FR-expressing tumor-bearing mice within 30 min (1).Reference:1. Numasawa, Koji, et al.
