Obscurin, also known as Obscurin-RhoGEF or Obscurin-myosin light chain kinase, is encoded by the gene name OBSCN. Obscurin is involved in myofibrillogenesis and the assembly of myosin into sarcomeric A bands in striated muscle. Obscurin isoform 3 plus ANK1 isoform Mu17/Ank1.5 may be molecular link between the sarcoplasmic reticulum and myofibrils.

Immunogen

GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to the N-terminus of human Obscurin.

Application

This Anti-Obscurin antibody is validated for use in WB, IH(P) for the detection of Obscurin.

Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected Obscurin in extracts of adult rat quadriceps tissue lysate (Bowman, A.L., et al. (2007). FEBS Letters. 581:1549-1554).
