Application

Anti-HIV Nef Antibody, clone AG11 is an antibody against HIV Nef for use in ELISA, IF, IH, IP & WB.
Research Category
Infectious Diseases
Research Sub Category
Infectious Diseases - Viral
Western blot (1:1000)
ELISA (1:100000) when tested against recombinant HIV-1IIIB Nef. For extensive dilution, protein containing or other stabilizing medium should be used.
Immunofluorescence
Immunoprecipitation
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Recognizes a single 27 kD band in Western blots and is reactive against Nef in immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescent assays. The reactive epitope maps to the COOH terminus of the full length Nef protein. MAB899 does not recognize Nef from HIV-1SF2.

Physical form

Format: Purified
Purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in 0.02 M PB + 0.25 M NaCl + 0.1% Na Azide, pH = 7.6

Several investigators have proposed that autoimmunity may be induced by idiotype-antiidiotype antibody networks. It is generally assumed that the antiidiotype is produced in response to the idiotype, and therefore that autoimmune diseases have single antigenic initiators.
