Ein zellpermeabler PKC-Aktivator (K_i = 11,9 nM für PKCα;), der die nicht-amyloidogene α;-Verarbeitung des Amyloidpräkursorproteins (APP) effizient verbessert, aber keine tumorfördernde Aktivität aufweist.

Ein zellpermeabler, von Benzolactam abgeleiteter PKC-Aktivator (K_i = 11,9 nM für PKCα;), der die nicht-amyloidogene α;-Verarbeitung des Amyloidpräkursorproteins (APP) sogar bei 100 nM im menschlichen Fibroblast AG06848 effizient verbessert. Bewirkt eine deutliche Reduzierung der tumorfördernden Aktivität.
