Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeabler, spezifischer DNA-Methyltransferasen-Inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 115 nM für CpG-Methylase M.SssI) mit vermehrungshemmenden, jedoch nicht zytotoxischen Eigenschaften. Im Gegensatz zum gebräuchlichen Inhibitor 5-Azacytidin interagiert RG108 direkt über seine Carboxygruppe mit der aktiven Stelle von DNA-Methyltransferase.
