Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeables, tetrazyklisches Diterpen-Antibiotikum, das als Zellsynchronisationsmittel dient. Blockiert den Zellzyklus in der frühen S-Phase. Spezifischer Inhibitor der DNA-Polymerasen α und δ in eukaryotischen Zellen und einigen Viren. Potenziert die durch Arabinosylnukleoside in Leukämiezelllinien eingeleitete Apoptose. Leitet die Apoptose auch in HeLa-S3-Zellen ein, hemmt jedoch die durch Vincristin eingeleitete Apoptose in der p53-negativen humanen Prostatakrebszelllinie PC-3. Auch als 30-mmol/l-Lösung in DMSO erhältlich (Katalognr. 504744).
