Beschreibung

General description

Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticoid and derivative of cortisol which is used to treat a variety of inflammatory and auto-immune conditions. It is the active metabolite of the drug prednisone and is used especially in patients with liver failure, as these individuals are unable to metabolise prednisone into prednisolone. This Certified Spiking Solution^® is suitable for use as starting materials in the preparation of calibrators and controls for prednisolone testing methods by GC/MS or LC-MS/MS.
