General description

Native α1,2-fucosidase from Xanthomon as species. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of all non-reducing terminal fucose that are α1,2-linked to the galactose of terminal Gal-GlcNAc disaccharide structures. The enzyme will not cleave fucose linked to the GlcNAc residue.
Note: 1 mU = 1 milliunit.

Physical form

In 25 mM NaCl, 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5.

Other Notes

Noronkoski, T., and Mononen, I. 1997. Glycobiology 7, 217.
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will catalyze the release of 1.0 µmol fucose from 2ʹ-fucosyllactose per min at 37°C, pH 5.0.

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. Which is the best concentration to use in cell culture for this enzime?

    1 answer
    1. For this product, no recommended cell culture concentration is available. Concentration should be determined empirically for each cell type by testing a range, considering treatment duration and endpoint. Include untreated controls and monitor cell viability to select the optimal concentration.

      Helpful?

  2. Does this enzyme have reductase function?

    1 answer
    1. This product is not known for reductase function, and reductase activity is not a specification tested for batch release.
