Gold(III) bromide, also known as auric bromide, serves as a starting material in the productionof gold nanoparticles, catalysts, and various organogold compounds.[1] [2]

Application

Gold(III) bromide can be used:

• As a precursor to synthesize gold nanoparticles for perovskite nanocrystals.[1]
• As a catalyst for dehydrogenative coupling of amines and phenylglyoxal derivatives to synthesize α-Ketoamide.[3]
• For the chemoselective annulation of isocyanates with 2H-azirine.[2]
