General description

Amberlite XAD-2, a hydrophobic copolymer of styrene-divinylbenzene resin, requires longer purification process and is commonly used as a sorbent. Amberlite XAD-2 resin sorbs organic compounds depending upon the aromaticity and size of the hydrophobic groups through low-energy physical interactions.

  • Amberlite XAD®-2 was used as adsorbent in the extraction of organochlorine compounds using Soxhlat extraction technique.
  • Amberlite XAD®-2 was used as adsorbent in the extraction of honey samples using column chromatography for HPLC analysis.
  • Amberlite XAD®-2 was used in adsorption chromatography.
Resina adsorbente poliaromática para compuestos hidrófobos de hasta 20 000 de peso molecular: fenoles, retirada de compuestos orgánicos, tensioactivos, compuestos aromáticos, recuperación de antibióticos. Puede utilizarse como soporte para remoción de catalizadores o metales.
