Descripción general

Fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) is a basic heparin binding growth factor and a profibrotic factor.[1] The recombinant mouse FGF-2 is a single, non-glycosylated chain containing 145 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 16.3kDa.

Fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells.[2]

Forma física

Lyophilized from 1 mg/ml solution after extensive dialysis against 20 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.4 and 130 mM NaCl.

Reconstitución

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in sterile water to 0.1–1 mg/mL.
