Combined effect of NaNO2 and NaCl on the growth of Listeria monocytogenes in tryptone soya broth has been evaluated using automated turbidimetric system.[1] Its carcinogenic effects have been examined in F-344 rats.[2]

Aplicación

Sodium nitrite has been used for the quantitative determination of nitrite in culture medium.[3] It may be used in the preparation of isopropyl nitrite, via reaction with isope alcohol.[4]
