General description

Produced using CHASM′s patented CoMoCAT synthesis technology, Signis® CG200 is the company′s largest-diameter single-wall carbon nanotube product.
Tube diameter determined by fluorescence spectroscopy.

Application

Carbon nanotube, single-walled (SWNT) belongs to the class of carbonaceous materials with excellent physiochemical, thermo-mechanical and electrochemical properties. This material can be used in a variety of sustainable energy applications such as solar cells, photocatalysis, thin film conductors, field effect transistors (FETs), biosensor, gas sensor, supercapacitor and nanomechanical resonators.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Suitable for use in conductive composites and coatings.Functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) embedded in an insulating polymer matrix may be used as stable hole collection layer in perovskite solar cells.[8]

Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. Are these single-walled carbon nanotubes surface modified?

    1 answer
    1. No, these single-walled carbon nanotubes do not have surface modifications.

      Helpful?

  2. How are these single-walled carbon nanotubes produced?

    1 answer
    1. These single-walled carbon nanotubes are produced by CoMoCAT® Catalytic Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD).  Processing is done to remove amorphous carbon, and HF (aq) is used to remove the silica support and some metals.
