General description
Recombinant, mouse insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) consisting of amino acids 25-91 and expressed in E. coli. Mouse IGF-II is synthesized as a 180 amino acid preproprecursor. Mature IGF-II is 91% and 97% amino acid identical to human and rat IGF-II, respectively.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ED₅₀ = 2-10 ng/ml as measured in a serum-free cell proliferation assay using MCF-7 human breast adenocarcinoma cells.
Warning
Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)
Physical form
Lyophilized from 0.2 µm sterile-filtered Acetonitrile, TFA.
Reconstitution
Following reconstitution refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage or aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at 4°C or for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute to 100 µg/ml in sterile PBS.
