General description

Prometryn belongs to the class of triazine herbicide compounds.

Application

Prometryn may be used as an analytical reference standard for the identification of prometryn in:
  • Fruits and vegetable samples by citrate QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) extraction and gas chromatography coupled to high resolution accurate mass spectrometry (GC-HRAMS) with electrospray ionization (ESI).
  • Seawater samples by solid-phase extraction (SPE) and ultra-pressure liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) equipped with ESI and multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) detection.
  • Sediment samples by dispersive-SPE, QuEChERS extraction and UPLC coupled to high resolution linear ion trap/Orbitrap (LTQ Orbitrap) MS.
  • Cereals by QuEChERS extraction and GC-MS/MS equipped with MRM detection.
