General description

Pure chlorobenzene is an aromatic organic compound most commonly used as a solvent and as a precursor in chemical syntheses. It is an intermediate in dyes and pesticide production and used in insect repellents, deodorants, and degreasers.

Application

Chlorobenzene may be used as an extraction solvent in the determination of chlorophenols in water samples and triazine herbicides in aqueous samples by chromatography techniques.

Controlled dispersion of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in common solvents is a challenging issue, especially for the rising need of low cost flexible transparent conducting films (TCFs). Utilizing conductive polymer as surfactant to facilitate SWCNTs solubility is the most successful
